Education

The APPN is committed to providing and supporting access to educational resources for members and non-members working in areas of advanced practice.

Over the last few years the introduction of the ‘Centre of Advanced Practice’ from Health Education England has redefined the significance of the Advanced Practice level in the healthcare system. The APPN remains focused to deliver relevant educational material to all members that work in or are aspiring towards an Advanced Practice level in this current climate of constant change and development. Throughout the pandemic we delivered several webinars about advanced practice and level 7 portfolios.  These videos are available at (can we add hyperlink to webinar videos here?)

We continue to deliver webinars as well as themed study days, again relevant to members working in, or aspiring towards, advanced practice. Our constitution means that one of these study days includes a short Annual General Meeting – this is a great opportunity for members to influence the direction of APPN, members are actively encouraged to attend this meeting.

The APPN understands that Advanced Practice is a multi-professional role and are always keen for members to propose topics/ themes/ speakers which they feel are relevant to them and other members – please do not hesitate to get in contact with us at admin@appn.org.uk.

Additionally, if you are aware of resources that you feel would be beneficial to other members who work in advancedm practice roles please contact us providing us with the links so that we can review them and add them to our web site.

More evidence base resources can be found on our research pages. Links to lectures and posters from our study days can be found on our courses page.
